According to a report, Microsoft’s Electronic Software Download (ESDs) of Windows 10 version 1909 was spotted on Windows Update servers, suggesting that the update is around the corners.

Microsoft is going to hold an event on 2nd October 2019 where it will announce the Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3. The company might begin rolling out the update on the same day. It is also expected that the stable build of Microsoft Chromium-based Edge browser could also be released on the same day.

As official changelog is concerned, the latest version 1909 includes performance and battery efficiency improvements:

“A CPU may have multiple “favored” cores. To provide better performance and reliability, we have implemented a rotation policy that distributes work more fairly among these favored cores,” the firm said.

It should be noted that the CPU performance improvements would be noticeable only on some PCs and the battery backup improvements may be applied to devices with select processors only.

Microsoft originally said that the update will be shipped as a cumulative update to devices with Windows 10 version 1903, which is supposed to refine overall updating experience.
